My artistic journey began on the vibrant canvases of the US Virgin Islands at the tender age of 11. Immersed in the rich history and dynamic transitions of these islands, my passion for painting ignited, propelling me towards a lifelong exploration of artistic expression.
Through a diverse array of mediums including canvas, digital, and mixed media, I delve into the intricacies of monochromatic palettes, weaving narratives that speak to the soul. Each brushstroke is a testament to the profound connections between subject matter and emotion, inviting viewers to embark on a visual odyssey through the realms of symbolism and storytelling.
Honored as the 2018 Global Enterprising Educator Model Teacher by the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) and named Miami Dade North Region Teacher of the Year for 2018-2019, I am deeply committed to nurturing the next generation of innovators and visionaries. From Robotics design/3-D printing, Verizon App building, Entrepernuership, Digital media, sculpture and film, I strive to cultivate a culture of curiosity and resilience, guiding students towards a future defined by limitless possibility.
As I continue to push the boundaries of artistic expression, my journey unfolds as a testament to the transformative power of action and perseverance. Through my work, I endeavor to inspire others to embrace their unique gifts and chart their own course towards fulfillment and success.
I had the honor of speaking at the Young Leaders Academy school graduation, where I addressed an inspiring group of young minds. Sharing insights on leadership, perseverance, and the importance of education, I aimed to motivate the graduates to pursue their dreams with confidence. It was a privilege to witness their excitement and enthusiasm for the future. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a meaningful milestone in their lives.
Miami-Dade TPO Chairman, Esteban Bovo, Jr., and TPO Board Members celebrated the creative minds of 10 students, under the guidance of their teacher, Mr. Ray Parris, from the New World School of the Arts/Business Class Infused NFTE. They collaborated to produce a transportation-themed mural now proudly displayed in the TPO Chambers. Before beginning the project, Mr. Parris and his students visited the TPO to understand the organization’s role with the transportation system.
